President Thein Sein surprised the public with the new of suspending the controversial Myitsone dam project in Kachin State. We all welcomed the good result from a meeting of Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi with a senior government minister on Friday afternoon. This is the first time the government listens to the voice of the people and this could be the best if they cancel the project completely.
